‘Napak Tilas Untuk Tiba Kembali Padamu | Pilgrimage to Arrive Back to You’ is an assembly of fragments of images and words taken from their personal diaries from 2017-2024, mostly in mother tongue. A journey through personal archives, touching issues of colonialism, identity, and relationships, is like getting reacquainted with a past “Me” who is still living in parallel. The gendershifting narrator, a different voice for each different diary entry, attempts to acknowledge the collective cacophony that births and shapes an individual. A song named rage, confusion, depression, joy and pride.
