Reincarnations: Ghosts of a South Asian Past – is a series of CGI artworks reinterpreting South Asian (and more specifically, South Indian) beauty. Inspired by colonial-era photographs of lost South Asian faces, the artworks seek to reimagine beauty standards in an alternate future free of colonialism.

The artistic mediums of the project rotat between digital art, character creation and worldbuilding. The women are created in digital programs. Their skin, jewellery, ornaments and accessories can be reimagined free of physics, biology or rationality.
