Mapping the cosmic-political relation that contributes to the myth of a nation state, through the depiction of cosmic symbols on flags.

As a turn, ‘Belonging to the Sky’ series proposes an eco-feminist perspective by abstracting the cosmic symbolism out of the “national” character, and forming a collective of Suns and Moons coming from flags.

What would it be like if we would still be in connection to the cosmic plane on an institutional level? Where is the crossover between magic and politics?

These body of screen prints create an allegory between the symbols that constitute several flags of nations around the world, and a possible way to glitch and disturb their identitarian character to create a collection of the several depictions from moons and stars belonging to the same sky departing from the idea of national identity.
