ما ز بالاییم و بالا میرویم
ما ز دریاییم و دریا میرویم
ما از آن جا و از این جا نیستیم
ما ز بیجاییم و بیجا میرویم
We are of sublime & ascend to divine
We are of ocean and endless we become
We are not of a there nor of a here
we are placeless and unbounded we roam
-Jalal al-Din Muḥammad Rumi-

Is ‘Home’ a place where we come from or where we arrive to?
Is it a meaning to define individually or is it dependable on ‘the others’? Is ‘Home’ bound to land? Body? Past? Or is it something that we carry within?
In this constant riptide to find meaning for the notion of ‘home’; humans think, create, move,
leave marks, place and displace themselves.
This quest is so deeply woven into the tissues of our existential identities that we almost never settle with one notion alone.
Perhaps as Rumi so wisely claims, where we belong is not limited to one place or bounded to one meaning. Just like we are not one thing or the other.
So we might as well wander the realms of our worlds and allow the truth of our experiences to fill us with meaning.
